Interactive Conference Design, Keynotes & Public Events

Kavana has experience with a wide range of large group functions, such as:

Conference Plenaries

Instead of (or in addition to) featuring a lecture keynote, holding an interactive session for attendees to connect, explore or learn.

Public Panels

If you’re seeking someone to emcee your panel discussion, conduct public interviews, or run Q&A.

Open Space Technology (aka Unconference)

This is a wonderful method of designing entire conference agendas on the spot. Participants convene breakout sessions on topics they care about, while attendees choose in the moment what to attend. It’s simply structured, quite flexible, and reasonably efficient. Typically 1-4 days, though can sometimes be done in half a day.

World Café

This is a method for holding rotating small group discussions focused on a theme or question, to see what emerges.

Transpartisan Dialogue

Convening across highly polarized political lines.

Citizen Assemblies

Whether it’s more formal, as in a demographically balanced citizens’ jury deliberation resulting in recommendations to local government, or less formal (ragtag general assemblies during movement moments), i can assist with getting a large collection of people to arrive at a goal or outcome together.
